Now that the live lesson portion of Soul Food class is winding down, I wanted to take a minute to share all of the projects I've created for my lessons. Although registration is no longer open for Soul Food, there will be an opportunity to take my lessons again coming up, so stay on the look out for that. I really had a wonderful experience teaching and getting to know our amazing students.

Stamp Carving

One of the things I really enjoy is stamp carving. I've found it to be relaxing when I'm not feeling well enough to paint. I use them in the layers of my paintings. Sometimes they show through in the finished product, but oftentimes they don't. Here are a few paintings where my stamps do show through:

More stamps! I've actually been using them a lot in the layers of the my paintings. Love the two flowers and the large stamp for background texture.

Sometimes, when I'm just to tired to paint, I really enjoy doing repetitive tasks like stamp carving. It allows me to create without using so much energy. I did these last night to use in the backgrounds and layers of my paintings. And maybe even to make patterns like this.
